CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL MAFC TOURNAMENT TEAM MEMBERS

Congratulations to all Tournament Team members who attended the ITF Taekwon-do Team Championships in Bristol.  Competitors from the MAFC came back with a massive 52 MEDALS!! We've uploaded a picture of you all looking smart in your Tournament Team tracksuits here

Congratulations to all members and many thanks to all the parents and friends who supported the Tournament :-)

Welsh Team Selection Training - Sunday 22nd February, 2009

WELSH TEAM SELECTION TRAINING

Wales ITF held their first Welsh Team training at The Martial Arts and Fitness Centre on Sunday 22nd February, 2009.

The next Welsh Team training selection will be on Sunday 29th March at the MAFC, from 10am until 12pm.

A meeting was held with the Senior Wales ITF Instructors and it was agreed to enter the Colour and Black Belt Championships in Bristol and will be attending the Irish Open Taekwon-do Championships held in November in Cork, Ireland. These tournaments will be open to all Taekwon-do students.  Parents, Friends and Families are welcome to come along and support.

has been accredited to administer the NAKMAS Safe Kids Campaign following formal NAKAMS training.

The above accredited person is authorised by the NAKMAS National Governing Body to administer and deliver the NAKMAS Safe Kids Campaign which works alongside the NSPCC approved NAKMAS Welfare Policy.

Certification for this qualification can be found displayed at the MAFC reception.

INTERCLUB TOURNAMENT - PERSONAL MESSAGE FROM MASTER GASSOR

PERSONAL MESSAGE FROM MASTER GASSOR

A great turnout for our first MAFC Interclub Tournament that took place at Cwmbran Stadium on Sunday 9th November.  We were very pleased with the amount of students, parents and families that supported the day.

Well Done to all those that took part.  We would like to thank everyone for coming and hope you all had a nice day! Many thanks to the Instructors and Black Belts who made the Tournament a great success, we appreciate your time and effort.

We hope to see you all at the next Interclub Tournament next year - date to be confirmed.  After our recent meeting it was decided that the next Tournament will be divided into sections of patterns, forms and Sparring for the children in the morning and Adults patterns, forms and sparring in the afternoon.  Times will be allocated for each event i.e patterns, forms and sparring.

To all Tournament Team Members don't forget the next Taekwon-do Tournament is in Thornbury, Bristol on Saturday 29th November. Entry forms now available from Miss. Gassor or at reception.

MAFC 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY PARTY

Hey All,

Just to say a big THANK YOU to all those that came to our 10 Year Anniversary party! A fab night as you'll all agree i'm sure!! Notice there were a few students missing in training on Sunday! :-)

Gary and Kay were very touched by your kind gifts and thank you for making their night very special! A very special thank you to Sheila for doing the collection too!

LONDON OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS 2008

CONGRATULATIONS to all those that attended the London Open Championships on Sunday 13th July! We are very pleased to say we came away with 29 Medals so well done everyone!

We would like to thank all students, parents and families for their support at the Tournament in London. We hope you all had a great day! MAYOR OF NEWPORT CONGRATULATES MAFC STUDENTS

MAYOR CONGRATULATES MAFC STUDENTS Today the MAFC received a card from the Mayor and Mayoress of Newport congratulating MAFC students for their success at the London Open Championships.  Inside the card read:
