Our Story

Chief Instructor Grandmaster Gary Gassor, 9th Degree Black Belt and his wife Kay Gassor opened their first martial arts classes in 1983. Over the following 15 years Grandmaster Gassor instructed classes at local leisure centres, community halls and schools.
Then in 1998, Gary and Kay along with their three children Leanne, Emma and Aaron opened The Martial Arts and Fitness Centre (M.A.F.C) based on Chepstow Road, Maindee, Newport, South Wales. Since then, the clubs have grown with I.M.A.A Satellite Clubs opening in the following areas; Caldicot, Llanfoist, Newbridge, Risca, Rogerstone and Undy. |
The Martial Arts and Fitness Centre and I.M.A.A Satellite Clubs are headed by Grandmaster Gary Gassor and MAFC staff which include expert Instructors and managers.
The clubs offer a range of classes for physical fitness and instruction in martial arts. |
